Glimpses of Rajasthan Film Festival 2016

With the past glowing years of Rajasthan Film Festival, 2016 too was the fourth summit organized in Maan Palace, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. This year the Chief guest was a very well-known personality of Bollywood industry splendidly talented being himself a shelf of poet, lyricist, and screenwriter, known for his absolute work in the industry Javed Akhtar enlightened the gathering with his wisdom. This year’s show was hosted and concluded by famous Bollywood actor Aman Verma and R.J. Mohit.
The show lit up when the beautiful and melodious voice of Coke Studio singer, Bhanwari Devi performed on stage. Many other famous and renowned artisans, dancers and showmen were eye-catchy for the audience, with their performance the audience was speechless. This time the gala had five thousand attendees, amongst whom the trophies were distributed to the artists from the Rajasthani film industry in nineteen categories.
The reason and the goal of celebrating the award show where to appreciate all the people who have worked hard and made a huge contribution to Rajasthan’s cinematic field. This time the jury contained Vicky Ranawat, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and Indrajeet Bansal. Aman Verma and his co-host RJ Mohit hosted the event.The Best Film award was awarded to the film “ Hivade Me Fute Laadu”. The award function was further broadcast on television on ETV Rajasthan channel.
This time in 2016’s Lifetime Achievement Award was given to an illustrious poet, writer and singer Ikram Rajasthani for his contribution in the field and development of Rajasthani cinema. Ikram Rajasthani has given a Rajasthani translation to historical books like The Quran, Geetanjali, and Madhushala. Apart from this, he gave his voice to commentating at the Red Fort as well as Rashtrapati Bhavan.
